Couvirissima

I created the Couvirinha in february 2009. We were on a farm and there was only beer to drink. Some of us wanted Caipirinha, but there was only mandarin lime. We used it instead of lime and added wild cabbage (couve, in portuguese). Delicious! Now I decided to make the Couvirinha’s new version: Couvirissima. This time with lime juice, blackberry syrup and rum.

• 2 parts of lime juice with wild cabbage*
• 1 part of rum
• Blackberry syrup at the bottom
• Ice (in a cocktail shaker, shake the juice with the rum and ice before pouring the syrup)
• Lime and wild cabbage (cut it the way you want) to garnish

* To prepare 1500 ml of the juice, cut 3 limes in 8 parts each. Blend them with 200 ml of water for about 3 or 4 seconds, no more than that, otherwise it will become bitter. Strain the juice and add 1250 ml of water, 1 cup of sugar and 2 wild cabbage leaves. Blend it all for about 1 minute. Strain it again.

Agora eu decidi fazer a nova versão do Couvirinha: Couvirissima.
